Late summer program with Ringu Tulku Rinpoche
at the Bodhicharya Center in Berlin 24. and 25.08
and in Menz 26. to 29.08.11

Bodhicharya Germany (Berlin) would like to invite many of our old and new friends and guests for a high point of this year’s late-summer program.
The focus of the first two days of Ringu Tulku Rinpoche’s visit, who is the spiritual leader of Bodhicharya, will be themes of the Buddhist philosophy. For this reason we invited Prof. J. Garfield a worldwide well-known professor of philosophy from the U.S.

Prof. Garfield will give two afternoon lectures, „The Three Turnings of the Wheel of Dharma“ and „The General View of the Philosophy of the Middle Way“. Ringu Tulku Rinpoche will teach about the bridge between Sutra and Tantra. Additionally, there will be a Symposium with Jay Garfield and Ringu Tulku Rinpoche, who is professor for Tibetan Studies in Sikkim. Both speakers will focus on the question of how we can benefit from ancient transmissions in our time.

This philosophical-religious excursion aims at its practical application and relevance for today’s world in the western context.
